Who's that girl?

Aaah, it's that time of the year again. The time when our beloved TV shows come back and when we find ourselves wondering if that new sitcom they've been advertising will be decent or not. This post is exactly the aftermath of that.

Before I start, here is a sneak peak of the show in question:

Seems fun, huh? But you can never be sure of these things until you see it for yourself. So there was some anticipation on my part for the two month wait until the show started airing and this past Tuesday I managed to finally see if this was worth following weekly or not.

The first thing that attracted me to the show, honestly, was that fact that Zooey Deschanel was the lead actress - the network was well aware she'd be one hell of a hook, considering most of the people watching this are her fans. In light of that, I was expecting the tone of the show to be compatible to the quirky fun vibe of the movies she stars in (such as 500 Days of Summer) and that was exactly what I got.

It still may be too early to know if New girl will be an amazing TV show, but as far as the pilot goes, I think it probably will be. The characters so far seem to be lovable and they're all funny - I was left with that warm and fuzzy feeling after the episode was over, it was that type of good.

I'll revisit this when it's season finalle time, but in the meanwhile:
